$2,700 is a ballpark figure for total cost. The total cost is calculated on a base fare of $1,250, plus the exact cost of the airline ticket. The base fare covers most meals and all lodging expenses, insurance, and any incidental expenses related to transportation, etc. A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required at the time you commit to the trip and the remaining $1,000 balance is due 30 days prior to your departure date. Teams will be responsible for purchasing their own airline ticket. It is recommended that the team book all flights together so that there is only one group record. CMU will suggest a travel itinerary to the Trip Leader and can give recommendations to a travel agent.
